Confirmation that work on the new primary care centre in Roscommon town is almost complete has been welcomed by Denis Naughten.

The HSE has confirmed to Denis Naughten that equipping of the offices in the new centre is underway at present and that the centre is at practical completion.

In addition, it has been confirmed that the new primary care centres in Monksland and Castlerea are also progressing well with a view to completion of legal issues in the first quarter of 2011.

“Geography is a vital factor in the consideration of health service provision across all parts of the country and that is why the Fine Gael ‘Fair Care’ policy will establish a comprehensive network of primary care centres which will see far more health services provided in GP surgeries, as close as possible to the patient’s home,” stated Denis Naughten.
