Local TD Denis Naughten has welcomed the commencement of operation Creagh Sewerage Scheme on the outskirts of Ballinasloe from Monday next.
Denis Naughten welcomed this final step on a long journey. He pointed out that the people of Creagh in South Roscommon were told in 2004, in advance of the local elections, that the new sewerage scheme had been approved, however it has taken a further nine years for the final part of this process to be completed.
The commencement of the operation of the Creagh scheme will be a huge relieft to local householders and to young couples who have already built their homes are waiting for connection to the scheme”.
“It will also provide additional serviced industrial land in the Ballinasloe area which will I believe be of benefit in attracting new employers to the Ballinasloe/Creagh area” concluded Denis Naughten.
