Funding of €36,000 has been allocated to Tisrara Community Centre in Four Roads, local Minister Denis Naughten has confirmed.
The funding, which has been allocated under the Targeted Community Infrastructure Needs measure of the CLÁR programme, will be used for the refurbishment of the kitchen and training room.
“This funding is the first step in enhancing training opportunities for the surrounding area and will be complemented by the delivery of high speed broadband to Four Roads in the next 83 weeks,” explained Minister Naughten.
“Community centres such as the one in Tisrara play an important role in local communities and the delivery of high speed broadband to facilities such as this will allow increased training opportunities as well as other services to be rolled out.”
The CLÁR programme is funded by the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs and forms part of the Government’s Action Plan for Rural Development.
