Naughten welcomes funding for Roscommon-Galway projects to support children and families

Local Minister Denis Naughten is pleased to confirm that over €95,000 has been allocated by Children’s Minister Katherine Zappone to projects in Roscommon and Galway that will support young people and their families in local communities.

“€65,834 has been allocated to two projects in Roscommon. The Roscommon County Childcare Committee will receive €17,150 and the Western Region Drug and Alcohol Task Force will receive €48,684 while €29,780 has been allocated to Galway Childcare Committee,” said Minister Naughten.

“Tusla, as administrators of this fund, will be in contact with the successful applicants to process the funding in the coming days to ensure the monies are spent before the end of the year,” added Minister Naughten.
