Jobs boost as contract signed for local Sewerage schemes – Naughten

Local TD Denis Naughten has welcomed the signing of contracts by Roscommon County Council for the final phase of building & upgrading of 13 sewerage schemes throughout the County.

Denis Naughten said that the contract has been awarded to the company EPS and that Roscommon County Council will be meeting with the contractor to set out a timetable for the construction of treatment plants in Arigna, Creagh, Frenchpark, Hodson Bay, Knockcroghery and Loughglynn.

Existing facilities in Ballinlough, Ballyleague, Lanesborough, Elphin and Strokestown will also be upgraded.

Denis Naughten welcomed the signing of the contract and stated that the investment in these villages is an important piece of infrastructure not only for existing homes and businesses but for the long term development of the local community.

“Furthermore the construction phase will involve an investment of nearly €6.5m which will have a spin off for local employment and suppliers,” he added
