Broderick & Naughten welcome progress on Ballygar Cemetery

Progress on the extension to the cemetery in Ballygar has been welcomed this week by Cllr. Tim Broderick and Denis Naughten TD, who have been working together to advance the issue for over a year.

Concern had been raised over the lack of space available in the cemetery with just one plot remaining. While approval has been granted for an extension this work has been delayed.

However, Cllr. Broderick and Deputy Naughten have this week welcomed a commitment that a temporary fence will be erected and a roadway created on the extension site to ensure that the cemetery will not be without plots.

“I have been working on this issue with Deputy Denis Naughten for a considerable period of time and we very much welcome the progress which has been made recently to allay the fears of the people of Ballygar,” commented Cllr. Broderick.
