Local TD Denis Naughten has welcomed the allocation by Minister Michael Ring of over €83,000 to Tulsk Action Group and Midland Warmer Homes in Curraghboy.

“Tulsk Action Group has received €20,000 towards the cost of purchasing a minibus to facilitate visitors accessing the archeological sites of Rathcroghan. This investment will help increase tourist numbers locally as well as supporting the development of the Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands tourism brand”.

“Midland Warmer Homes has received €63,621 towards the cost of vehicles and equipment to upgrade the heating in local homes to make them warmer and more comfortable. This investment will not only make homes cheaper to heat but also helps in Ireland reaching its climate change targets”.

“I have worked closely with these two local community groups and this investment will not only benefit the local area but also lead to far wider benefits for County Roscommon and the region as a whole” concluded Denis Naughten.
