Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands the place to go for best breakfasts

Local TD Denis Naughten has welcomed the fact that Roscommon and Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands has featured prominently in the Georgina Campbell Irish Breakfast Awards 2019 with awards going to Castlemine Farm, Gleeson’s Townhouse and the Wineport in Glasson.

Derek & Brendan Allen at Castlemine Farm took the overall national producer award for their meats with the Wineport in Glasson winning the National Guesthouse award for their breakfast.  They were closely followed by Gleeson’s Townhouse, Roscommon Town who, along with Jennifer Brew, were highly commended in the Guesthouse category.

“These awards are a great boost for local tourism and the Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands tourism brand, as no local business featured at all in last two years awards. Great credit is due to all three local businesses and their staff,” concluded Denis Naughten.
