Funding for creation of extra places and fire safety

Local TD, Denis Naughten is encouraging local childcare providers to apply to a €6m Government investment fund which has just opened to applications.
The Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Dr Katherine Zappone has announced the opening of applications for the 2019 Early Learning and Care and School Age Capital programmes. This funding will allow them to add extra spaces and improve facilities.
Any interested childcare provider should contact the local County Childcare Committee and ensure that applications are submitted before Wednesday 27th March 2019 at 3pm.
“It is expected that approval of grant applications will be made in June to allow childcare providers to provide additional places from next September” concluded Denis Naughten.
