Now that playgrounds are opening up here are a few things to do this weekend

In Blog, Families, Tourism by Denis Naughten

With the opening up from the lockdown, people can now travel right throughout our County and it is really a great sight to see our playgrounds beginning to open up again today.

So I’ve put together a few things that you can do this weekend and explore County Galway and County Roscommon.

So well done to Roscommon County Council and Tim Broderick tells me that  Galway County Council are also reopening their playgrounds. This is something that I wrote to An Taoiseach about earlier this week: https://denisnaughten.ie/2020/06/09/rethink-needed-on-supervised-playgrounds/
For a list of outdoor walks and playgrounds all over County Roscommon see https://denisnaughten.ie/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/Roscommon-Walks-16.01.19-final-copy.pdf

And the local list of playgrounds in Galway are attached below. Here are a few local Galway walks as well https://www.galwaytourism.ie/top-5-walks/

But if the rain happens to come, check out Cruinniu at https://cruinniu.creativeireland.gov.ie/

This is all part of a broader campaign that I’m promoting to explore our own County: #HiddenRoscommon #HiddenGalway #HiddenYourCounty
